The SLC Tri Challenge
The ClemenGold Wolkberg Trail Run
The WTR made its debut in 2014, and is sure to become one of the most popular races on the trail running calendar in years to come.
it is a two day stage race through the magnificent Wolkberg Mountains, summiting the highest point in Limpopo, the Iron Crown.
In 2015 the WTR became a member of the Skyrunner Series, which means that Day 1 is now an official SkyMarathon.
Casual runners can also enter the second day only.
Entries for the stage race are limited to 100 runners, so enter now, and get training!
The Routes
Day 1: 35km
Day 2: 25km
Runners will be well looked after during the full duration of the race, with meals and accommodation taken care of should they choose the 'on campus' option. They will stay in the very cozy Stanford Boarding Houses, with hot showers, DSTV, laundry services and comfortable beds all included in the price.
Please note that this option is for stage runners only, and not family members who are not entering the stage race.

Off Campus Option:
6 & 7 August 2016
Price: R600
The Off Campus option is for stage runners who would prefer to organise their own accommodation for the weekend, and is perfect for those who would prefer to have their families around to support them. It will also include supper on the night of the 7th during the race briefing.
The second day of the stage race is also open to runners who would prefer just to enter one day only.
This day is perfect for the whole family, with plenty of activities, great food and drinks, and 3 race distances to choose from to keep everybody entertained.
The ClemenGold Wolkberg Trail Run is a proud member of the SkyRunner Series South Africa. Day 1 is an official SkyMarathon.
The routes provide a fantastic mixture of tough but beautiful. Runners will experience some of the best kept trail running secrets in the country.
Day 1: Runners will begin in Georges Valley and head up an old logging road which will take them to the beautiful Iron Crown grasslands, enroute to summiting the highest point in Limpopo, the Iron Crown. From the summit runners head down the other side of the mountain on some magnificent single track. The finish line and a cold beverage await finishers in the picturesque Haenertsburg Village
Day 2: Runners will begin the final day at the SLC Outdoor Centre and head towards the famous Wegraakbosch Organic Cheese Farm. The route boasts a great mix of indigeneous forest, plantation roads, and grassland single track, before circling back and finishing at SLC.

For Sky Running enthusiasts and regulars, there is the option of just doing Day 1 of the Stage Race, which is an official SkyMarathon.
This package also includes accommodation for Friday night, as well as Friday supper and Breakfast on Saturday before tackling the Iron Crown, which is the highest mountain in the Limpopo Province.
